Quick start

  1. Start Grid Screen from your desktop application launcher or the downloaded binary.
  2. Open the Arrange tab.
  3. Choose a screen and layout in the toolbar.
  4. Drag eligible window cards from Window Catalog into the zones on the canvas.
  5. Adjust the divider ratio, gap, or margin when the selected layout exposes those controls.
  6. Select Arrange N Windows.

The action bar shows how many zones have assignments. Arrange stays disabled until at least one window is assigned. Clear All removes the current assignments without changing saved layouts.

On success, the Rust arrange pipeline validates the layout, screen, and every assigned window before moving any window. Minimized windows are restored before movement. The result reports per-window status and any errors in the UI.
