Settings and diagnostics

Settings are grouped into Snap Behavior, Defaults, General, and System Status.

Stored settings​

  • Enable Modifier Snap and Snap Modifier Key update the persisted settings object.
  • Default Gap and Default Margin show the current values; Save as Defaults writes them to the config store.
  • Start at Login and Minimize to Tray update persisted preferences.

The current source audit verifies persistence for these controls, but does not verify an effective snap transport or autostart integration. Treat those controls as stored preferences rather than guaranteed runtime features.

Status and diagnostics​

System Status shows session type, EWMH support, window manager, XRandR availability, workspace, connected screens, and adapter errors. The diagnostics command formats the same capability information with the application version. Logs are written to the local Grid Screen config directory.
